Electrocautery
Electrocautery is a treatment used to safely remove common skin lesions such as skin tags, benign moles, and certain types of warts. It involves the use of a heated instrument powered by electrical current to precisely target and treat unwanted tissue. This method allows for controlled removal with minimal impact on the surrounding skin.
The procedure is typically quick and well-suited to small, superficial lesions. In many cases, healing is straightforward, and the treated area is left visibly smoother once recovered. As with any procedure, outcomes may vary depending on the size and depth of the lesion, as well as your skin’s natural healing response.
Before any treatment, I will assess your skin during a consultation to determine whether electrocautery is appropriate for your concern. If so, we will decide on a plan that takes both comfort and appearance into account.
Should you wish to explore this option further, I’d be happy to discuss it with you in person. Simply reach out to arrange a time that suits you.
